Emma, being a trainee, was sent off to go deliver soem letter for one of the doctors. She didn't even know who it was from, someone just handed it to her and said where to take it. She went ahead and took it down to the sitting room to drop off in a basket by the shelf, that was apparently where ti was goign to be picked up at. Unfortunately, upon arrival by the bookshelf, she realized that one of the shelves was loose, it would fall soon if not fixed. She was about to turn and leave, get soemone else to fix it, when it started to fall right then. She moved just quickly enough to catch it in place before all the books went tumbling down but, she was stuck there with the shelf. She laughed at herself for getting into this mess, "No, I couldn't just let the books fall..." she mumbled still holding it up.

Jackie was a little more uppity today since the night spent with Myles Darking, the person that she knew was the right one now that she got to feel their hand again, hear their voice again, and actually see their face. Heading into the Sitting Rooms, she noticed an action of comic proportions,seeing one of her friends struggle with a bad shelf. There was nothing else that she could do besides help them so she came right to the person's side, wondering what she could possibly do to help the entrapped Emma.
"So how can I help you with that."
There was a clear smile written on her face, it was a give away that something really good had happened, she usually did smile, but a smile as big as she had meant something was a foot. She didn't even need to think about it twice before she knew that it was true, she was falling for a guy that had been a total jerk during their high school years, and now he was a complete and total sweetheart.

Em turned her head after looking thouroughly alarmed at the fallign shelf, "Jacks, I... and.. the shelf was all...." she said and almost dropped it. "Wanna give me a hand? I'd love you for the rest of forever...." she said letting her voice sound all sweet and convincing and whatnot. She smiled and looked back at the shelf, some random psychology book was almost exactly in front of her face. She looked back, going slightly cross-eyed and feeling stupider than ever.
"Yeah, if you could just like, get the other end or something, then it wouldn't kill me..." she said semi-jokingly. She held her grip tight on the shelf, hoping it wouldn't come down on her, deat by books didn't sound fun.

Jackie helped her with the self grabbing the end that she needed to as she was told to, wondering how they were going to keep this up without the books clasping on the both of them, they had both lived a good life though as far as she knew. Laughing at the sight that the thought of what other people probably thought of this, she decided that even though it might be strange, that she would go ahead and check on her good friend Emma. She knew that they both together wouldn't allow the books to kill them, maybe hurt them, but not kill them.
"So how are you?"
It was as if she was some crazy person asking this, of course, she had been in a better mood than usual, and her usual mood was really good in the first place, it was sort of hard to believe that Emma hadn't noticed the difference in her yet. Ah well, like it mattered, once they figured out what they were going to do with the falling shelf they would probably talk about Jackie's extra cheerful mood.

Emma noticed Jackie's mood change but was a little bit pre-occupied. She smiled at the randomness of the situation, two girls holding a shelf in their hands trying to keep the books from falling on their heads. They were in desperate need of help but didn't know when it was coming..."I'm good, a little busy with running errands all the time but good nonetheless... Ok, you though, what's got the roses on your cheeks? I don't think I've seen anyone in this place that happy since... Ever. Yeah, people are always seriosu or depressed. Anywho, you happy, it's cool, what caused it?" she asked smilingly.

The smile remained on her face as she kept trying to keep the shelf up, sort of hoping that Myles would come by to help the two of them out, which would let her be able to talk to him today. Since that night, she hadn't seen him at all, and she wished that he was around, she missed him a lot, even though she knew that she could go right to the front desk and call for him. She didn't feel like she was too attached to him or anything, that was mistake number one most people made, and she didn't want to be the person that made those mistakes, not now, not ever.
"Myles..."
That was all she needed to say, one word was all that explained how she felt and what was going on with her, it was really a simple way of showing that she had found her way in the world and it was going great. Speaking of, her music was doing better than ever, and it was a wonder what one night could do to change everything that had happened the last year or so. It made everything fall into place, like all the events that had happened were meant to be and were actually meant for the better not for the worse.

"Did somebody call?" Myles crossed his arms and smiled as he looked from Jackie to Emma and back again. Laughing at the odd situation the girls had gotten themselves into, he took up most of the weight of the shelf. "i don't suppose this was just some freak accident, was it?"

Emma laughed at Jackie's one word to describe it all and then realized Myles had showed up on the spot, "Woah, and he's superman too, jeez Myles way to show up right when we gals need you." Em joked, feeling glad to have the shelf lifted. She then moved to get something to fix it out of a cabinet nearby. "Freak accident... You know us too well." she sighed.

Jackie got off balance, falling down and caused the whole book self to tip over, quickly escaping the distater, with dranging Emma right along so she wouldn't get hurt if the book shelf hit her. She shook her head slightly feeling like she was really stupid for doing that, and now there would have to be a lot of work done by Hale staff, which happened to include Myles and Emma. "Sorry." Her voice sounded guilty for what she ahd just done, even though she hadn't meant to, and she was just being ehr clumsy self as always. Joining Myles side, she wondered what he would say now that everything was settled, with the bookself on the floor, and the laughing that had escaped the girl's lips had now subsided.
"How are you? I haven't seen you since last night. For awhile I thought I was dreaming." She felt so stupid when she said that, she knew that he probably wouldn't think of it as stupid at all, but it really did to her, her appearance had become something more important to her. Everything about herself, she noticed more, which was a good thing and a bad thing at the very same time.

"Well, I don't know about superman, but I suppose I do have a knack for being in the right place at the right time." Myles watched as Emma walked over to the cabinet and hadn't noticed what Jackie had done until three falling books hit him on the head. At which point he successfully ducked out of the way before he was hit by the shelf. Laughing at the disaster, Myles brushed off Jackie's apology as she walked over to him. "It's alright. I've been wanting a new project to do anyway." He laughed again. "I'm doing good. Yes, it was quite... unrealistic. I was actually looking for you when I came in here."

Emma was about to laugh when of course, Jackie saved her life from the doom-type bookshelf, "Jeez, superwoman too, what will people say when they realize I have superheros for best friends? They'll wonder where the heck my powers are, I guess I'll have to be book-cleaner-upper-girl, fastest book picker upper around... And dude, no stealing my job Myles you go talk to your gal pal while I take care of this." she shooed him away from the pile knowing it was important for those two to talk. She gave Jackie a joking grin as she began to pick up the books.

She laughed at her friend's comment, soon putting on her surroundings aside and worrying about the one person that was there in the room that she cared about the most. There was just somethng about the three of these people being around each other that made life more interesting, which made this one of those things too of course. "It was, but we both know that it just wasn't a dream since we are here now right?" Smiling at what she said, she knew that Myles would agree with her and talk to her some more about what was going on now, and what had been happening.
